On May 25, 1977, a space movie starring Alec Guiness, Peter Cushing and a bunch of nobodies was released into a handful of theaters... and Hollywood has never been the same since.  STAR WARS has gone on to become so much more than just a movie and changed the lives and careers of stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

Now, four decades, seven additional films (with more to come), and BILLIONS of dollars in sold merchandise later, Andy Farnsworth, Adam Thomas and guest contributor (and award-winning writer) Aaron Zundel talk about what makes George Lucas' galaxy far, far away so special.

How has this movie resonated so much and for so long?  What are your favorite moments?  Listen to ours, then join us in the comments and tell us your own!

Johnny Depp is back as Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Men Tell No Tales", the latest entry into the blockbuster movie franchise based on a Disneyland ride.

Andy Farnsworth and guest contributer (and award-winning writer) Aaron Zundel are talking about the new movie (with NO spoilers), Javier Bardem's Captain Salazar, the "Pirates" franchise overall and where this new movie ranks in quality with the other four... plus a fact that might surprise you--but also explain why Disney even made a fifth "Pirates" movie in the first place.

Before you go see the movie, give us a listen!  Then let us know in the comments below what you think!

"THE FIFTH ELEMENT", director Luc Besson's sci-fi adventure starring Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman and Milla Jovovich, is 20 YEARS OLD!

The movie is one of Adam's cult favorites and Andy Farnsworth had never seen it, so when the show got a two-day re-release into theaters this month, they bought themselves some seats at the local cineplex to check it out in the way it was meant to be seen--on the big screen.  They're joined in this episode by Alex Kirry (of KSL's Nightside Project podcast) for whom The Fifth Element is also a cult favorite.

Join us on this nostalgic trip!  What still holds up in the film after two decades?  Could this movie succeed if it came out today? Would Gary Oldman have the same hair?  Listen with us, then join the debate at www.slcfanboys.com

Star Wars video games have been around almost as long as the movies themselves, and fans have digitally immersed themselves in that galaxy far, far away to the tune of billions of dollars over the past 40 years.

Adam Thomas, Andy Farnsworth and Tysen Webb are joined by award-winning writer (and fellow Star Wars nerd) Aaron Zundel to talk a bit of history of Star Wars games over the past four decades, some of their personal favorites and what is it that makes a good Star Wars video game.

Join the discussion on our Facebook page (www.slcfanboys.com) and tell us your favorites, and why.  Who knows?  You might win a digital download of a classic Star Wars video game!

The first trailer for STAR TREK DISCOVERY is out and Adam Thomas, Tysen Webb, Andy Farnsworth and guest contributor (and award-winning writer) Aaron Zundel can't wait to talk about it.

We finally get our first glimpses of Sonequa Martin-Green as Lt. Michael Burnham, Michelle Yeoh as Captain Georgiou, Doug Martin as the alien Lt. Saru (who can apparently sense DEATH!) and even James Frain as Sarek.

We still have LOTS questions! Were those Klingons? What race is Saru? Is this set in the Kelvin timeline (Chris Pine movies) or the Prime timeline (Shatner)? Did we see enough to encourage new viewers to check it out...and did we see enough to make long-time Trek fans happy?

What do Superman, Spider-Man and Batman have to do with King Arthur? They're all examples of stories that have become legen--(wait for it)--dary!

That's what Andy Farnsworth and guest host (and award-winning writer) Aaron Zundel come to realize as they talk about the movie KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD starring Charlie Hunnam and Jude Law.  This interpretation of the Arthurian legend by director Guy Ritchie makes them ask: How "faithful" to the original story does a retelling need to be?

Is the Batman who kills in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE a travesty to the character?  Or, as Andy argues, is it an acceptable adaptation based on the world Zack Snyder created in the DCEU?

May 1st marked "Halfway to Halloween" 2017, and Fear Factory in Salt Lake City is celebrating by opening their doors for a couple of days in May.  Andy, Tysen and Adam talk with F.F. GM Spencer Terry about what those who can't wait until fall can do this month at Utah's only TRULY haunted house, plus additional activites (like a zip line!) for scaredy cats like Andy who don't like to be frightened.

It's raking in the money already, so no surprise Andy Farnsworth and Tysen Webb are talking GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 and how it's a fun return to the adventures of the sarcastic spacefaring "family" of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) & baby Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel).

Oh, and don't worry... NO SPOILERS contained herein!
